It's no secret that conservatives have taken a lot of "hits" in recent times and that many have "tired of the fight." With ultra-liberals now enjoying a virtual lock on the legislative branches of our state government, it could take years before common sense prevails again in Washington State. Legislation important to conservatives will simply be "dead on arrival" to nearly all of the Democrat majority's legislative committee chairmen.
While we must all work diligently in the coming years to restore a conservative majority in Olympia, our best hope for the near future is to take our most important issues directly to the people of Washington State! WAVA will fight to preserve marriage during the legislative session. If efforts fail there, we will utilize the referendum/initiative process and organize an effort similar to California's Proposition 8!Working with wise and capable advisors and assisted by a great start-up team, we have created a vehicle from which we will launch our grass-roots political efforts statewide. What we need now is some help putting gas in our tank! Creation of the Washington Values Alliance has required a big step in faith and a considerable investment for my family and our team, but we would not have entered into the fray if we didn't believe that we have the experience and ability to provide something politically unique and dynamic for our side.I know it's a lot to ask at this time of year, but if you have the financial ability to help us we need you to send a contribution to the Washington Values Alliance as soon as possible! Support WAVA Today! Larry Stickney, President PS. The Washington Values Alliance is a non-profit corporation and a registered charitable organization. We have avoided tax exempt status in order to maintain ultimate political freedom.
