Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Christ, is more than just a holiday and a tradition. Jesus Christ IS the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary.

He opened the gates of heaven and brought all of mankind the hope of eternal salvation as the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Christ taught us that the truth would set us free. Faith, freedom and the love of truth is what our founding fathers fought so hard for as they established this great nation and threw off the yoke of King George III and the British empire proclaiming, "We have no King...no King but King Jesus!"

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, keep standing firm and do not be subject to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)

The story of Christ and His glory and the hope He brings to all mankind has now spread to the entire globe and provides comfort to all who will simply believe and follow Him. The Christmas holiday season has been, for hundreds of years, synonymous with countless acts of sacrifice, charity, brotherly love, and kindness.

Birth of our Lord Jesus ChristIt is our prayer for Christmas 2009 that we Americans, and especially those of us who live in politically correct Washington State, will remember from Whom it is that all blessings flow, so that we might remain an unshackled and free people, able to celebrate and publicly proclaim the wonders of the joyous and blessed Christmas season! Amen.
